In-house one-day PD training
In-house training programs save you money and let you enjoy the convenience of a
trainer coming to you. The one-day training programs can be tailored to the audience
and each participant receives training materials to teach the program to parents.

The Courses
1-2-3 Magic & Emotion Coaching - allows professionals to assist parents and carers of children aged between2 and 12 years. It teaches strategies to promote positive behaviour in children and tools to manage difficult
behaviour. Each participant receives professional materials which enable them to teach the program to parents.
Engaging Adolescents - is for professionals who work with families who need to resolve teenage behavioural
problems. The updated course looks at what is reasonable teenage behaviour, how to teach teenagers to
manage their behaviour, building relationships and strategies for dealing with unacceptable behaviour. Each
participant receives professional materials which enable them to teach the program to parents.
1-2-3 Magic in the Classroom - is a simple and effective approach for primary classroom teachers to manage
students’ behaviour. This one-day program provides strategies to promote positive behaviour in children and
tools to manage difficult behaviour. Each participant receives professional materials which enable them to implement the program in the classroom.
The Australian Psychological Society endorses 1-2-3 Magic & Emotion Coaching and Engaging Adolescents for 7 CDP hours.
These courses also fulfil the requirements for ‘active’ CPD with the Australian Psychology Board.
IN-HOUSE WORKSHOP - TERMS & CONDITIONS

Terms and conditions
- 1. The in-house fee does not include the presenter’s travel and accommodation, venue hire, and food or beverage expenses. These expenses are to be covered by your organisation.
- The in-house course fee is for 25 participants per course, there is no minimum, but if you want to register more than 25 people, each additional person will cost $70.
- Organisations must supply the names, addresses and emails of each participant for licensing and renewal of licensing purposes, at least 14 days before the workshop day.
- Only Parentshop licensed professionals are permitted to use Parentshop training materials.
- Licence agreements are signed at the beginning of the training day and will be collected by the Parentshop presenter. The license requires trained professionals to use the Parentshop parent workbooks when training parents.
- Parentshop requires a non-refundable $500 deposit for training courses at the time of booking.
- 7. Full payment must be received within 14 days of the course.
What you need to do to coordinate an in-house training day:
- Locate a suitable training room with tables and chairs for up to 25 participants with a wall or screen to
- project onto.
- Advertise the course through your email network and your local community organisations.
- Organise the catering for morning tea/coffee and lunch.
- If you want to invite colleagues from outside organisations, we provide you with a flyer template for advertising.
- Collect the names, emails and addresses for participants you have registered.
- Email all participants’ data to Parentshop at least two weeks prior to the course date.
- Liaise with Parentshop staff to ensure manuals and course materials arrive at your venue in good time.
- Ensure each participant has recieved a copy of the licensing agreement to read prior to the course (and sign on the day).
